South East Asia Sails: Weekly Update

This week at South East Asia Sails, we continued our commitment to excellence in sailmaking, albeit at a slightly slower pace in terms of finishing new sails. Nevertheless, our focus on quality and efficiency remained unwavering. Here’s a summary of our week’s work, reflecting our dedication to serving the sailing community, both locally and internationally.

• Seaman 80 Sails: We completed a high roach mainsail and genoa for the Seaman 80, a new type of catamaran being built in Thailand. This project underscores our role in supporting innovative sailing vessels and our capability to deliver high-performance sails for cutting-edge designs.

• Asymmetrical Spinnaker for a J/105: Our team finished crafting an asymmetrical spinnaker for a J/105, highlighting our expertise in creating sails that enhance racing performance and handling.

• Full Batten Mainsail for an Endeavour Sailboat: We also completed a full batten mainsail for an Endeavour sailboat, further demonstrating our ability to meet the diverse needs of the sailing community.

This week, we extended our services to include on-site canvas work and repairs for catamarans located near Phuket Yacht Haven and AoPo Grand Marina. Our efforts included:

• Minor repairs to a Lagoon 42's mainsail and a Code Zero for a Fountaine Pajot Catamaran, ensuring these vessels remain in top condition for their owners.

• We also provided sail repair services for our friends at Elite Yachting/Island Spirit Charters, focusing on sails for Jeanneau and Beneteau sailboats. These repairs are crucial for maintaining the reliability and performance of the fleet.

Looking Ahead

While this week may have seen a slight slowdown in the number of new sails completed, our team remained busy with important projects and repairs. Our ability to adapt to various needs, from innovative sail designs for new catamarans to essential repairs for our charter partners, showcases our dedication to the sailing industry.
