The process

The Custom Sailmaking Process

From first design work through to loft production and material selection, every sail is developed around the boat, the brief and the way it will actually be used.

  1. 01

    Design

Every sail starts with a clear brief. We use ProSail design software and digital plotting to model sail shape, visualise flying form in 3D, and refine each design around the boat, rig and intended use. That process helps us balance shape stability, handling and durability, whether the priority is easier cruising, improved light-air performance or a more robust everyday sail.

  2. 02

    Manufacturing

Our sails are built in our loft in Phuket by an experienced team of sailmakers and designers who understand how sails are used in the real world. From panel layout and cutting through to assembly, reinforcement and finishing, we focus on accuracy, consistency and sound construction. The result is a sail that is made not just to look right on the loft floor, but to set well and last in service.

    Materials

Materials matter, but the right specification matters just as much. We select sailcloth, hardware and finishing details to suit the sail type, the loads it will carry and the way the boat is sailed. That means matching the material to the brief rather than defaulting to a one-size-fits-all solution, so owners get a sail that balances performance, longevity and value.

Lazy Bags and Storm Sails

Marine Acrylic Covers

Lazy Bags and Stack Packs

A lazy bag cradles your mainsail along the boom and zips shut, so there's no separate cover to wrestle on and off. Built to your boom length in marine acrylic, with lazy jacks to suit your rig.
